Greg, has recieved some questions about the game recently, so he told me to put up a Q&A page, where we post and answer all your questions about the game.

Q: When is the Flash Site coming?

A:  well...i could go into details but its a goddam Q&A!..ill just say, er...very soon...?...

Q: What is the game about?

A: check out the  "our purpose" page for plot details

Q: What program did you use to make these people move?

A:  I used macromedia Flash 5, but am also using macroemdia Flash MX. You can download a 30 day trial from www.macromedia.com

Q: How long has it taken you to get here?

A: Well over a year, during that time we got a little confused..first it was one thing, then another..Then it died down for a few months..and then we came up with this! -Adam

Q: When is the game going to be complete?

A: it depends on where we are. First all the animations and backgrounds will need to be done, then this will all have to be programmed together, so basically, without a deadline, we can spend as long as it takes to perfect. - Adam

Q: Is there online tutoring for games and how do you
draw the graphics? by mouse or tablet and how do you make them move in a 3D
envorment?

A: There are a number of tutorials on creating flash animations, movies and short games, and can be found at:  www.flashkit.com
if you are looking into Flash Programming itself, a better site would be www.actionscript.org
I currently use the good old fashioned mouse to draw. Flash isnt really for 3D games in itself, another program has to be used called Swift 3D. This can be imported into Flash for 3D animations, panning methods and other cool stuff.

Q: How did you come up with your ideas? And how did you learn to design a game?

A:  The idea of Grim actually came to me through a PC game everyone should know called "The Sims" basically I was looking for a custom skin on their site to play as the Grim Reaper, just for a laugh. i eventually found one and it came to me that it would be really funny to create a story based on the Grim Reaper, and so we have it. My other ideas usually just pop into my head when im daydreaming, or thinking about the next step to take in the game.

Actually designing the game itself isnt so easy however. I have always been interested in creating my own computer game, and had alreadys set up a Yahoo Group called "Making_Games" that i was going to use to create a computer game with some of my new found net friends, Greg Kirrage and Shaun Norton. A few ideas came and went
and i was really looking for a game engine we could use. Months passed and the group turned into nothing more than a daily e-mail chat. Around a year later i
was pretty happy when i found a site called Newgrounds (www.newgrounds.com)
that was filled with 3rd party, home made flash movies and yes...games. It occured to me that i had found the engine we could use to create our own game. And so here we are...still in the process. The learning process of Flash was made easier due to my long term use of the computer from an early age and tutorials in the program itself. The rest was a lot of Trial and Error, but ive finally learnt most of it all, apart from the Actionscripting...arrgh..hehe

Q: Are you teenagers, adults, or kids? I would like to know this is
because if you are kids or teens you must be very smart. How did you learn to
design computer games?

A:
well most of us are teenagers, some older and younger than others...
and we are happily chugging along quite slowly....but its fine because we have no deadline and can go on at our own pace.
I personally did not read a book on it, its just a matter of organisation, ideas, stamina, and alot of patience. Drawing wise, im pretty good on paper and the transition to computer seems to of finally paid off.
As we are a team, it has its ups and downs..its sorta annoying because everyone has these different ideas of what to do, and there can be many arguments and squabbles  among us, but we have a laugh and discuss things and its well worth it :D
